Updating the leap seconds file in RiPROCESS

RiPROCESS uses the official list of leap seconds for exporting time stamps to GPS/UTC.

In RiPROCESS 1.9.3.x this list is stored in the file "leap-seconds.list" located in:

• the RiPROCESS installation folder (root directory)
• and the subfolder >> PLUGINS >> Export

Usually the list is valid until the end of June or December. So, the file has to be updated regularly.

RIEGL have released a wizard to perform this update, which can be downloaded from the Member's Area at www.riegl.com/members-area/software-downloads/airborne-scanning/

You can also update it manually, using the steps detailed below.

The most recent leap-seconds.list can be downloaded from https://hpiers.obspm.fr/iers/bul/bulc/ntp/leap-seconds.list

Please download the file or copy the content and replace it with the leap-seconds.list in:

• the RiPROCESS installation folder (root directory)

• and the subfolder >> PLUGINS >> Export

One you have done this, please restart RiPROCESS for the change to take effect.
