Using PuTTY to resolve a scanner communication problem

When running a firmware update or using the Error Analzye tool, sometimes a warning pops up regarding a "POTENTIAL SECURITY BREACH" and referring to a cached key.

To resolve this, you need to download a terminal program called PuTTY, and then use this to connect to the scanner to set a new key.

PuTTY can be downloaded from here: https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html

Note: You will normally need the version listed as for 64-bit x86

Once downloaded, run PuTTY and type the scanner's IP address into the Host Name field, and ensure the Connection type is set to SSH:

Click Open to open the connection to the scanner, and a black terminal window will open:

A WARNING dialog will also pop up with the same warning message as before - click Accept here.

The PuTTY terminal window will still be open - this can be closed.

Then, you can close PuTTY, and re-try the Error Analyze wizard.
