How to add a Serial Number Licence (SNL)

A Serial Number License allows the user to process scan data from a specific RIEGL laser scanner in either RiSCAN PRO or RiSOLVE. This article explains how to add one.

The Serial Number License (SNL) is provided as a text file with a .lic extension, or as a 32-character alphanumeric text string, like this:

T2GH5FH7 - RU386GH2 - GHT84HG9 - CH123TH6

The process to add the licence code to RiSCAN PRO or RiSOLVE is as follows:

Navigate to Tool > License Center...

In the dialog box, do one of the following:

- if you have a .lic file containing the license, click the "Import" button and browse to the .lic file, and click "Open"

- if you have a the licence as a text string, copy the licence code, and then click "Add" and paste it into the dialog box and click OK:
